Background

Founded in 1993, Tele2 is a leading Swedish telecom operator offering mobile, broadband, and TV services to consumers, businesses, and the public sector.

We were brought in to redesign and develop the UX for the part of their site dedicated to the public sector. The project demanded flexible, robust functionality.

The overall goal was to create a B2B-portal for municipal employees that simplified placing and managing orders, while automating and streamlining processes that had previously been time-consuming and technically challenging.

The challenge

Tele2 needed to modernize their much-appreciated but aging portal for municipal customers. These contracts represent a significant share of Tele2’s revenue, but technical limitations had created a heavy reliance on manual work to meet customer needs — and even then, some user requests couldn’t be supported at all.

The challenge

The brief was very clear: Tele2 has deep knowledge of these customers’ needs, which include traditional large-organization requirements such as approval flows and user roles, as well as more flexible capabilities like an editable portal and product-package creation.

Branded PLP’s and PDP

We included templates that allow Tele2 to create branded PLP’s and landing pages. The PDP delivers all relevant product details and accessories, along with features such as comparison tools, trade-in options, manuals, and campaign information.

Product package creation

The save feature, available on every product in the online shop, allows admin users to create product packages. With the appropriate access level, a saved product can be added to any package, making it easy and intuitive to build custom product bundles.

Product selection

Allowing municipal admins to control exactly which products are available to their employees had long been a process in need of improvement. We helped Tele2 streamline this by creating a simple, intuitive picker inspired by the structure of a traditional computer catalogue.

Order requests and approvals

Depending on your role, your order request may need approval from someone with the right authority. Before placing your order, you choose an approver. That person will see the request in their order list and can approve or reject it — and if they reject it, they can leave a short message explaining why.
